Dog friendly Holiday cottage in Appledore, Devon - Sleeps 6 (FCH2037)

This attractive and spacious three storey property is in an idyllic location, nestling within an olde-worlde street in a picturesque fishing village. Step out onto the balcony from the master bedroom and watch the colourful fishing boats bobbing on the water below and enjoy panoramic views across the river to Instow and beyond.

The house is also in an ideal setting from which to explore the numerous attractions across the North Devon coast. With everything you and your family need for a relaxing stay, you have the choice of unwinding in the warmth of the comfortable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor or opening the patio doors and enjoying the fresh air and views from the raised, furnished balcony.

Plush, welcoming bedrooms will offer you rest, as well as the master bedroom having its own balcony and another of the double bedrooms boasting sea views. This house is in the same street as two friendly, lively pubs that serve highly reputed, locally sourced fish cuisine. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the narrow, cobbled streets to the bustling quayside, just 500 yards away, where you can watch the fishermen return with the day's catch.

Across the estuary, Instow offers a sandy beach and quality eateries; a ferry crosses to Instow from Appledore quay during the summer months. Westward Ho!, with its long sandy beach, Atlantic surf and seafront with lively amusements is only 3 miles away or golfers might like to play a round at The Royal North Devon Golf Club (2 miles), an historic course that stretches out across the Northam Burrows.
