Holiday cottage in Appledore, Devon - Sleeps 4 (FCH637)

Set in the picturesque and historic village of Appledore, this apartment belongs to a building located less than 200 yards from the picturesque harbour. There you will find stunning views up and down the estuary and across the water to Instow. Along the quayside and in the narrow, cobbled streets nearby, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants offering a friendly welcome and good quality seafood dishes sourced locally.

From the comfort of either the twin or the double bedroom, you can enjoy views out across the estuary when you wake in the morning - or watch the lights bouncing and twinkling on the water last thing at night. Prepare delicious home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen then gather round the dining table, perhaps planning your day over breakfast in the morning or reliving the adventures of the day at supper time.

In the restful lounge area, you can snuggle on the soft sofas around the flame effect electric fire and keep up with your favourite TV programmes or delve into a book. Westward Ho!, with its long sandy beach, Atlantic surf and seafront with lively amusements is only 3 miles away. 2 miles away, golfers might like to play a round at The Royal North Devon Golf Club - a historic course that stretches out across Northam Burrows.

The ancient town of Bideford (4 miles) offers parks, galleries, shops and restaurants - and access to The Oldenberg passenger ferry which sails out to the spectacular nature reserve that is Lundy Island, with its puffins, seals and other wildlife in abundance.
