Wash away the day in the shower room, before climbing into the double bed and dreaming about the adventures to come. Within the bustling Naval town of Dartmouth there is plenty to fill your itinerary; sample fresh seafood at Rockfish, British classics at The Cherub Inn, Indian at the Taj Mahal and European at Andria, stock up on essentials at the numerous delis and independent shops.
Tour Dartmouth Museum, hire a boat out on the waters of the River Dart, or explore the historic delights of Bayard’s Cove Fort and Dartmouth Castle. Dartmouth, a popular and picturesque town in South Devon, is located on the banks of the River Dart estuary. Dartmouth is one of Devon's most visited cities because of its proximity to the coast and the National Park that protects it. The town hosts many annual events, including the Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the Dartmouth Food Festival, all of which take advantage of the town's beautiful waterfront and ancient, winding streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
The South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail, and many quiet country lanes make the area around Dartmouth ideal for bicycling and walking. The Dartmouth Steam Railway ride through the countryside to Paignton is a must, as is the boat ride across to Kingswear and on to the charming harbour town of Brixham.
