Sitting out on the decked riverside terrace and watching the world go by as the sun goes down is one of the simple pleasures that guests staying at this property can look forward to. The property itself has been finished in a fresh, contemporary style with seaside touches reflecting the property’s location in the harbour town of Bideford, 2 miles from the seaside town of Westward Ho! and its golden sands.
A truly idyllic location in the grounds of the main house, this converted stable building has been lovingly updated to create a sleek and sophisticated holiday home. The open-plan lounge/diner is a welcoming homely room in which to relax, whilst outside the enclosed garden with garden furniture is ideal for al fresco dining.
A riverside terrace is shared with the owners and provides an idyllic riverside spot for sitting out with drinks as the sun goes down, or for enjoying a spot of fishing. A large shared garden boasts a children’s play area, but please take care in supervising them, as there is an unfenced pond in the garden too.
A leisurely 1-mile stroll from Yeoldon Stables brings guests to the centre of Bideford, a historic harbour town with a vibrant community and a good selection of places to eat. From here, the seaside village of Instow is just 2 miles away, as is the sweeping sandy beach at Westward Ho! For a truly special day trip, head to the town’s harbour and join a boat trip to the tranquil island of Lundy, home to a vast array of seabirds and wildlife.
